Hi, I’m Nicola. I’m a freelance illustrator and digital designer based just outside London, UK.

I’ve working within digital marketing for 15 years, but have also experienced working in other industries such as video games, animation and children’s publications. My areas of expertise lie in design, illustration, branding, character design and concept art.

If I was to describe my art style, I would say ‘versatile’ as I enjoy working in different styles - a bonus when adapting a look and feel to suit different projects and client briefs.

Currently my time is divided between client work, commissioned pieces, personal projects and raising my 2 preschool children.

Experience

  • 15 years digital design experience:
    Working within London based Digital Marketing agencies, In-house design teams and direct with smaller start ups.
    My roles would include: Pitching, concepting, branding, design, UX design, illustration, animation and art direction.

  • Animation & video:
    For broadcasters and publishers, creating animated shorts, TV show intro sequences, and brand promotional pieces.
    My roles have included: Concept art, storyboards, character design animation and video editing.

  • Illustration for print and web:
    Including children’s illustration, concept art, brand promotion and merchandise.

  • Video games, viral games and mobile apps:
    Creative lead for an indie games company.
    Roles including: Concept art, level design, UI design and art directing a small team of 3D artists and animators.
    Artwork and animation for other games including viral flash games, mobile games and Facebook apps.
